Mud Bay Park, Boys and Bikes

After work I didn’t feel like sitting around the house, so we  quickly got dinner out of the way, packed the boys bikes up and headed to Mud Bay Park.

This is a great place for the boys to ride there bikes, the trail is level, wide and few others.  On this trip we saw a few Rabbits and Birds.  Although I would usually put walking that close to the free way as a negative, on this trip I saw a Burro (Fibreglass Trailer similar to the Boler, I was too slow with the camera to get a picture), a trailer I have only before seen on the internet.

My youngest decided to drop his training wheels on his third birthday, however after two weeks of successful rides, he decided he liked the run bike better, 8 months later on this ride we brought his pedal bike, and he did great on it.  It was fun to watch.

With the boys riding there own bikes, we did end up carrying the bikes back to the car.  It was worth it, as I fear if we only use the Trail-a-bikes, they will never get used to riding on there ouwn

Although I would not consider this a destination, it is a great place to get out for an evening walk, or take a relaxing bike ride (the trail goes all the way to Tsawwassen I have heard, never made it that far).

  1. You are lucky to have a nice trail for the boys to use that is close by and safe as well. Our area also has a smooth paved bike/walking trail, which meanders through the woods with a few ponds and streams along the way. It always makes me feel better when I can enjoy the beauties of the great outdoors.

  2. Looks like a gorgeous way to spend an evening!
