Miquelon Lake Provincial Park

Boys running towards the playground.

The Playground and beach. With no swimmers the water was covered in birds.

The boys and I decided to head out to Miquelon Lake Provincial Park for the day.  With the playground, walking trails and a Boler meet, it seemed like the perfect place to spend the day.

We spent a while at the playground, then off to explore.  Some stomach issues ended the walk, so back to the car, then a quick tour of the Boler’a and back home to rest.  On the drive out we saw a Beaver swimming, always a great sight.

This is the second attempt at exploring this park, both have not gone as well as hoped, so we will be back again.  The lake is nice, the boys enjoy the playground and the nature center.   The trails through the beaver ponds sound fun and will be on the list again next time we return.

  1. I have friends who camp regularly here and love it!

  2. Cool to see people go to this lake. I grew up with it in my backyard (practically), haven’t been back for way too long. Time to plan a camping trip (in the summer, that is).
