Long Weekend In Jasper

Whistlers Campground

Whistlers Campground

We have spent lots of time in the Rockies since moving to Alberta, but not much in the Icefields Parkway, and not enough in Jasper.  This summer we planned to fix this.

With forest fires burning in the park we delayed booking a campsite, and with the wait we could only get a reservation for the first night.  With the park halfway between our house and my sisters, we would meet on friday night and figure it out from there.

We stayed at Whistlers Campground, beside the washrooms with the playground behind our site.  The boys loved it.  We also had an Elk wandering around.

The next morning we managed to get a site at Wapiti, so we decided to head over, set up and start exploring.

After setting up camp, and looking around we left to start exploring the park.  Stopping at the gate we manage to get a site for our last night as well.
