Location: This unique provincial park is located 20 minutes out side of Merritt
Cost: Low Rate for BC provincial Park ($16 last time I checked)
Activities: Fishing, Hiking (4km trail), Camping, Wildlife
Warnings: The shore of this lake is muddy and in spots it is easy to sink and become stuck.
Mostly a fishing spot, this park is a fun stop, it is surrounded by rolling hills left behind from glaciers, and the lakes where formed by a volcano leaving ash beaches. Although these beaches are not good for the normal beach activities, this unique feature was a highlight of our visit.
Being between Vancouver and Kelowna this made a great stop on our way out for a weekend camping trip.
